Week 5 (4 Mar 2019 - 8 Mar 2019)

This week is the final week for FYP supervisor and title registration via UniKL BMI website. The deadline is on 8/3/2019.

As for me and my other two friends that are under supervision of Dr Jawad, we submit our synopsis to Dr Jawad to register our FYP 1 Project.


My title and the synopsis of the project are:


Title Project
Heart Rate Measurement Device for Blind People at Home.
Synopsis
This project is designed to help people especially the blind to measure their heart rate by their own at home as rather than they need to go to the clinic or hospital to check their heart rate. Besides, this user friendly device does not require other people to assist them in measuring their heart rate as there is braille at the button which defines the functions of button. Pulse sensor is used in this project where it will measure the current heart rate of a person in beat per minute and the heart rate information will be displayed at the Liquid Display Crystal (LCD). Hearing aid such as earphone or speaker most likely help to deliver the information of their heart beat via sound. The examples of heart rate information that will be displayed at the LCD are BPM, and status of heart rate. Other than that, the heart rate status also will be informed through hearing aid where it will tell the users about the current status of heart rate such as normal, high risk bradycardia and high risk tachycardia. Last but not least, the device has cloud to store and deliver the information to other people.

Conclusion:
The synopsis has been checked and approved by Dr Jawad and successfully submitted.

Week 1 (7 Feb 2019- 8 Feb 2019)

During Week 1, every students are required to search a supervisor for Final Year Project. The purpose of having a supervisor is to guide, develop and motivate students for their progress in completing the project. The activities in Week 1 are: Propose a supervisor Plan out some ideas for the project List out some details required such as component, function and uses of the project Conclusion: As activity for Week 1 passed, to conclude that I choose Dr Jawad Ali Shah to be my supervisor. With supervisor's help, students can perform and understand their project successfully.

Week 3 (18 Feb 2019 - 22 Feb 2019)

On Wednesday, 20 February 2019, the first class and meeting of all students taking Final Year Project 1 (FYP 1) was held at the TTL 2. In two hours duration from 3.00PM to 5.00PM, students had given brief introduction of FYP 1. The contents are including: 1. Introduction Lecturer has given a lecture on the FYP introduction and much more input. Students need to know the purpose of  FYP, aim, objective and other content of FYP. 2. Course Outline A handout has been given to all students for their guidance through the semester. Students are allocated with 17 Week of FYP 1 course, and during Week 11 students need to perform their Proposal Defense Presentation.
